When something looks wrong
-
Files look missing? What to do first
Pause syncing, then get the files back from Google Drive's trash or Ambifold's backup folder. Both keep them for 30 days.
-
I deleted or moved a synced folder
Ambifold pauses that folder, deletes nothing on the other side, and asks you what to do. What each choice does.
-
Turn Ambifold updates back on
After an upgrade to a new Linux Mint or Ubuntu release, Ambifold's update source can be switched off. How to switch it back on.
-
How to uninstall Ambifold
The package, its settings, logs and backups, the autostart entry, and its access to your Google account.
Report a problem
In Ambifold, choose Report a problem… in the tray menu (from version 0.3.0-beta.3). Write what happened, and add your email address if you'd like an answer. Include diagnostics adds the app's versions, settings, the state of your folder pairs and its recent log, with no file or folder names, email addresses, sign-in data or paths; Show what is sent shows you exactly what goes. Nothing is sent until you press Send. The privacy policy says what happens to a report.
You can also email support@ambifold.com. Include the version info (on the settings page, About › Copy version info) and, if you like, the diagnostics file (About › Save diagnostics…).
Health reports are not problem reports. If you turn them on (from version 0.3.0-beta.3, on the settings page under Health reports), the app sends us anonymous counts once a week, such as how syncing went. We can't tell who sent one, so we can't answer it: to get help, report a problem or email us. The privacy policy lists what a health report holds.
