Refund policy

Refunds for Ambifold Pro: when you can get one, how to ask, and what happens next.

Last updated:

The short version

You can get a full refund within 30 days of your first payment for Pro (yearly or Founder lifetime), and within 14 days of each yearly renewal, for any reason: through the link in Paddle's receipt, or by writing to support@ambifold.com. This doesn't limit your rights under the law. After a refund, Pro ends on your computers at their next check with our server, within about a month; nothing is deleted, and the free edition carries on.

1. When you can get a refund

  • Your first payment for Pro, yearly or Founder lifetime: within 30 days.
  • Each yearly renewal: within 14 days of the renewal payment.
  • For any reason, and you don't have to give one. You get back everything you paid for that payment, tax included.
  • The free trial costs nothing and needs no card, so there is nothing to refund.
  • After these windows, write to us if something went wrong: we look at every request. Where the law of your country gives you more, you have that too.

2. How to ask

  • Use the link in the receipt that Paddle, our reseller, emailed you, or go to paddle.net and ask for a refund there; or
  • write to support@ambifold.com, from the email address you bought with, or with your licence code or the order number from Paddle's receipt.

Within the windows above, we approve every request. Paddle, the merchant of record for all our orders, sends the money back to the card or account you paid with; your bank decides how soon it shows.

3. After a refund

  • Pro ends on your computers at their next check with our server, within about a month of the payment, or later if a computer is offline. The licence code stops working.
  • Nothing is deleted. The free edition carries on: three folders of one Google account keep syncing, and you choose which. The other folders wait, untouched, and carry on where they left off if you get Pro again.
  • When we refund a yearly subscription, we cancel it too, so nothing more is charged.

4. Cancelling is not a refund

Cancelling a yearly subscription, in Paddle's customer portal, stops the next renewal: Pro stays until the end of the year you paid for, and no money comes back. To get money back, ask for a refund as above.

5. Please ask us before disputing a payment

If something is wrong with a payment, write to us or to Paddle first: a refund reaches you sooner than a dispute through your bank. A payment that your bank reverses ends Pro in the same way as a refund.

6. Which terms apply

This policy is part of our terms for Pro (part C of the terms), and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the payment. Neither limits your rights under the law.
